ART SERIES: City Cotton – The Powers that Be

The series of artworks ‘City Cotton – The Powers that Be’ consist of photos used in the Sensing Nairobi pilot exposition at the British Institute of East Africa (BIEA) Nairobi in 2017.

The images on the photos are used in several legal cases by the people depicted on the images to fight for the return of their lands, which were grabbed by former Kenyan president Moi (among others) .

The project represents the eternal fight between good & evil and the powerless and powerful.
