ART SERIES: The Gods of Money
The series of artworks ‘The Gods of Money’, are a research about how African spiritual heritage can be used to cater for the needs of contemporary money-driven city dwellers. By the reaction of the Kenyan Government on the works, it turned also into a research of how African heritage is suppressed by the current Colonial legacy in Kenya.
The artworks consist of works that have been censored only and the 5 previously confiscated works, marked accordingly.
