SEE THE WORKS IN THE GALLERY

At the same Kenya Art Fair 2015, the Kenyan organization Creatives Garage had hired an own gallery space where they displayed among many other artists also a couple of RxAxLxF’s works. Creatives Garage was ordered by the management of the Fair to remove his works too. The claims of his work being unlawful were the same.

When Creatives Garage initially refused to do so, citing the in Kenya constitutional guaranteed freedom of speech, the management of the Kenya Art Fair threatened them to close their space at the Kenya Art Fair and to remove also all other artworks on display.

Threatened like this, Creatives Garage complied and removed only RxAxLxF’s works. Creatives Garage felt so intimidated that they even removed his artworks from display in their gallery in their own building. Also these works were later returned to him.
